Lasted one year
We purchased this item one year ago. It stopped working so we took it to an appliance center for repairs. Well, forget it. The switch was bad and because it is part of the circuit it would be $50 to repair. More than the cost in the first place. great vac, cord too short!!
This vac is a great little machine!! Why oh why hoover would you make the cord so short? Other than the short cord, it is hard to beat. It is important to empty the dirt cup after each use especially if you like me live in a zoo of sorts. ie. lots of fur babies!! But I have to say it is great to see all the hair it is picking up. I vacuum my floors (mostly hardwoods with some carpet and area rugs) about every other day and it manages to find enough hair that if I didn't empty it, I think it would put a lot more load on the motor. I wonder if the reviewers who complained of it heating up were emptying it often enough.... Anyway, Hoover, if you are listening, put a longer cord on this little guy and it would be perfect!!
This stick vac is great!
We recently put hardwood floors in our home and I was tired of draggin our heavy regualr vacuum across the house and also was fearful that the regualr vac would damage the floors. I love this vac. It's powerful & quiet. The plastic canister empties easily and the fileter bag inside is rinsable in warm water which I do about every other use. I love it and would buy another if needed.
Wow! Call Me Delighted
I needed a small vacuum for a small house, but I never expected to find one that performed as well as the Hoover Stick. Here's my take on this little gem:
PROS:
1. The small head allows me to reach places I could never reach before. We've moved from a big house to a small one with half the square footage, but we've still got big furniture. So we're crowded, and having a vacuum that can get into the small areas not covered by big furniture is a great advantage.
2. It's small, light, and fits into our cramped closet with ease.
3. It performs -- on carpets and on hard wood floors.
CONS:
It's not quiet.
All in all, I'm very happy with this little vacuum. Highly recommended for small homes or apartments!
Great Little Vac!
This is a big improvement over the last Hoover corded stick vacuum I owned. It has a power nozzle that cleans carpets and rugs pretty effectively. It is important to recognize that this machine is only meant for all around light duty.
